I saw him with creed 2 years ago and recently alter bridge 2 months ago. Both MT-100’s were rolling and his synergy rig as well. His baritone guitars sound soooooo freaking good. I’d say in both cases his tone was great. I actually watched his mt-100’s switch channels throughout the night. No lip synching there as far as I’m concerned. I think he uses the other mt-100 head as a power amp for the synergy but not 100% positive there. I’ve liked most of the demos but I’ve liked it the most when the presence is pushed a smidge higher than where everyone is putting them, but that’s personal preference.
It’s very likely his heads are both hand wired versions. He mentioned in an interview about working with PRS to get specs for the big transformers made overseas and sound as good as the expensive ones in the prototypes.
On the orange “dumble” channel being a miss - I’ve always wondered if anyone has tried that through anything but a v-30? If it’s based on a dumble then I’d assume it probably sounds kick ass through the right speaker.
Also he did mention in an interview on the red channel that they had to make adjustments so that knobs at noon would sound great for the average player. He said he had some unconventional settings on the knobs that sounded amazing - which being Bogner derived makes complete sense to me, but the market is going to set it up with their eyes not their ears a majority of the time.
