The 8100 wouldn't be my Marshall of choice tbt. Either an SLX, or a 2203KK maybe. Or just a JCM800 with a boost and/or EQ.

Rocktron Chameleon or Mesa Boogie TriAxis, usually into mesa or marshall power amps. So many sub iconic but well travelled and well known thrash albums were handled by these devices, which was crazy as it was in the era when the rack guitar stuff was nearly verbotten and everything was about raw amps. I see a lot of TriAxis on the ReThrash albums as well

Good cheap amps for thrash - Peavey Ultra Plus / XXX / 6505 + the Peavey Rockmaster preamp paired with a decent power amp

What did you end up with

Welcome to Rig-Talk and congrats on hitting the 50 post mark

FYI, the OP has not posted since Nov 2020, so doubtful he will see your question. I think I saw you are a pedal guy but are you in the market for a new amp? You came to the right place. I can +1 the Splawn Quick Rod - but not for Jerusalem. :dunno:

PS: If you hover over someone's profile pic/name you can see when a users last log-in date and start date (unless user has proactively blocked that feature in their profile).

Peavey vtm60 or 120 with a boost are great for thrash. They used to be really cheap, now I'm not sure??

Personally I'd just buy a Randall rg100es and put an overdrive in front. Palm mutes are crushing with that rig.
