I say bump the line swappers to the bottom of the list, so I get my unit sooner. :D

I've got another question...what exactly happens when someone "sells" their spot in line? I just saw a post over on the Fractal site where a guy was "selling" his spot on the first TM run and saying that he would be included in this current shipment to TM. Here's a quote of what he said...

"I'm offering up my spot on the Tone Merchants waiting list. I'm on the first run, so it will be included on the Fractal shipment going out this week. The only thing required is you can't already be on TM's waiting list and you need to send them a $1,100 depost (total price with shipping $2,249.00). The only thing I get in return is my $1,100 deposit back from TM. PM me if interested."

Now, here's what gets under my skin a little about this... "The only thing required is you can't already be on TM's waiting list"...why not? Why can't the people who have been on the list all this time, (who were patient through all the screw-ups), have a chance at moving up the list?

Here's a guy that just decides he wants out...fine. But why not give the guys that have been in line with deposits down for MONTHS a chance to move up instead of moving someone else in who hasn't even been on the list. Idk...something about that just doesn't seem right.

I may get flamed, but whatever. I'm starting to get annoyed.

Just so we're clear I wasn't "selling" my spot. My only goal was to get my deposit back and at the same time give someone the opportunity to buy the Axe at the initial $2,199 price with a short wait time but since this has created a shitstorm maybe I should just take delivery and flip on ebay :dunno:

If you read my post, I wasn't directing anything at you...I said "Here's a guy that just decides he wants out...fine." I have no problem with that...my only gripe was that current long term wait listers weren't allowed to move up the list, instead only a new person who didn't have any money invested for the last couple months could get in on a unit right away at the wait list price...with virtually no waiting.

Now, Avenyr posted this over on Fractal's forum... "I initially asked 96vette for the spot and we went through the whole process but Rob said since I was already on the list that it wasn't possible for me to take his spot. However from what I understood from Rob's email that he sent me regarding this is that whoever will take his spot will be sent to the back of the list and everyone else will be moved up a spot. I may be wrong but that's what I understood from it."

I responded by saying that I personally don't have any issue with that whatsoever, as this respects the guys who have had their money in from day one. Now, if that's how it works, I'm cool with it. If that's NOT how it works and the guy you sell your spot to gets his AXEII out of this shipment that's on it's way to TM, then I'm not cool with it. Either way I'm over it. I'm not changing my order, never wanted to. I wouldn't agree with TM's decision if they put the new guy in your actual spot, but that's up to them...it's not a deal breaker, I just think it would be more fair to the guys who have been patiently waiting to be moved up instead.

Back to waiting for the third shipment...

I'm just as guilty as anyone else when it comes to this, but MAAAAAAAAN the whole Fractal thang sure does stir shit, doesn't it?!?! Everyone gets pretty emotional about it - and like I said, I'm just as guilty as the next guy. Crazy...

What a gas.

No pun intended.

Lot's of drama. I can tell you all that Rob is a first class guy and isn't going to screw anyone. I have had many deals with him out the back door of TM's and he will make it happen. While public bitching seems like the manly thing to do, it does nothing but serve up a big plate of crow and gets you nowhere but in a bad mood. A simple email or phone call to Rob is best and will get business resolved.

Now, I have to work on Rob to pick up the Soldano dealership because he is missing out on some serious sales with me....

I want to know what number in what list I am on, I have sent numerous emails to rob that have gone unanswered and then contacted brad to help who after a few days basically said I'd need to call tm myself to get the info which I had been requesting the entire time.

Hey rob or brad or anyone at tm that actually wants to help me as you have my deposit, pm me please so I may get the information I need. I am done sending emails that go unanswered and my work schedule prevents me from calling myself on the phone.

This is just about transparency and communication. People are just worried about their money, gear plans and not knowing what's going on. It might be easier to update information even daily if necessarily, telling folks if and why something is delayed. Even if chassis got lost or processor shipments were delayed upstream and people might not be happy they have to wait a month longer, at least they know what the issue is and they can take it or leave it. It's better to even just admit you don't have a clue when a shipment comes in and point to the reason than to leave things open for speculation. Preliminary updating one single line on a website (daily if it needs to be) would in the end save a lot of time and effort compared to having to explain and defend yourself over and over, publicly and one-on-one.

Waiting for caps for the CCV? Chassis delay for AxeFX? Manufacturing fault in some other part? Share the information as soon as you find out yourself. It really takes a lot less time than cleaning up the public relations mess afterwards.

I guess y'all paid someone to make you a shiny (mostly static) website and install some forum software on a server, but these websites would work so much better with some live dynamic news or notification section that would be easy to update by non-technical people on the spot. Sporadic monthly updates won't do in the age of instant facebook/twitter updates... :student:

Perhaps a simple Locked sticky thread updated every couple of days even if to say "Sorry guys we haven't received any news yet, next update in 3-4 days thanks!" could make people happy. At least that makes use of the current infrastructure and requires no expensive pro website rework :) Whoever starts complaining could be redirected to this thread either on the forum or by email.

If the vendor is proactive about keeping its customers updated through very small and quick updates then you save a lot of headaches trying to stop the forum riots, conspiracies and cryfests. At least people know what to expect and when to look for the next update. It's win/win for everyone

And for those who still complain... refer them to their local psychiatrist for a prescription of "Chillax" pills :D

Guys,

The Fractal stuff is what it is, when we get units we ship units. We were promised so many a month, we haven't got as many as promised yet but Cliff assures Rob they are coming and when he is up to speed on production we will get them as promised on time with out delay which is cool. Rob has the relationship with Fractal and Cliff, I have never spoken with the man but Rob is and reports up when he knows something. He is not going to post up "Hey I haven't heard anything today".

As far as the Cameron stuff we update all the time, that ride is almost over and we are on the verge of delivering the first CCVs which despite the rumblings is a breathtaking quick turn around time from me flying out and tracking down Cameron in Hollywood several months ago to completing and manufacturing a updated, Mark Cameron designed flagship model. Remember they could not get this done in the last 8 years.

I should write a book and then maybe you would understand, it is a huge undertaking and I could not of pulled it off without my bros, Rob Naverrette and Dave Friedman and Mark Cameron for that matter.

If there is anyone on any board who has ever gotten screwed in a deal by me post up...Otherwise trust that we got this and we are doing everything humanly possible to get your gear shipped. Anybody who PMs me gets a response. Rob is an old bastard and more of a phone guy and doesn't check emails daily.

I am younger and better looking and check email hourly.

Hmm maybe I will go Lindsey Lohan here and set up a twitter feed for Cameron Amps you can all follow and I can tweet the progress as well what cocktails I am washing down at 10 in the morning. Very interesting....

Keep breathing...all will work out, I promise.

Yes Rob is a stand up guy  Hell it will get here when it gets here. Posting isn't going to make it happen sooner. I waited 9 months for an Egnater M4 with out hardly any communication on he other end. ;)

Exactly. I can't help but giggle a little bit about the drama created in these threads. Hell, I ordered a Bernie Rico Jr. 7 string 8 months ago that was promised to me 4 months ago and I haven't emailed the guy in at least 2 months about it. It will get here when it gets here...flipping out on the internet doesn't grease the wheels.

No kidding, I had 6 months invested for GMW guitars and took it as part of the business.

The funny thing is that people were giving Mike Fortin shit for wait times on his stuff and damn would you look at the wait time still happening for the camerons.......................funny shit. Not a jap at cameron stuff as I understand that shit happens when you deal with small batches.

People that flip out over transactions will companies known to deliver = no way would I do business with these nuts.

I think a bit of apples and oranges generalizations are being made here. I am a pretty patient guy, and if I placed an order for a standard guitar or amp build, I could wait a long time without saying anything. However, I suspect that more of you than are saying went and ordered a guitar from a company, then watched many more individuals place orders after you that were receiving their guitars, while you had no idea when you would get your guitar would start to get irritated after a while.

A lot of Bromancing going on here...

It's nice to see.

Custom axes are a bit different than production model rack units, IMHO. It is what it is. Patience is a virtue, and of course, results in murderous feelings and intent to strangle, but hey, it passes

Yes, you are correct, maybe custom guitar wasn't the best choice, as that scenario could happen. Okay, replace custom guitar with either a standard production guitar or something like a rack wah.

Your "Patience is a virtue" line is good stuff.

I received a coupon from fractal yesterday, I'm about 81 on that list and 30 something on the second batch list here so they are pumping them out.

Does seem like the Fractal crowd is getting taken care of first even though they were the last to start a list.
