reminds me of kerry king in a poser /hair farmer band

This is just terrible? I think the guy is a killer phraser and is one of my all time favorites on his first four albums. His tone was fantastic too. To each their own though, but if anyone else thinks this sort of phrasing is similar to Kerry King, well, this forum has given me tons of reasons to  over the last few years and this one goes in that column..... near the top.

But what do I know?

From Guitar World on Le Tekro, "Within a single guitar break, he could shift from a fast classical run to a gutsy blues lick. It’s easy to see why esteemed guitarists that include George Lynch, Nuno Bettencourt and Zakk Wylde have admired his playing."

But what do those noobs know? They need to come to Rig Talk so they can learn about good guitar playing.

Guitar World 1989
"What other new players does Zakk like? "Ronni Le Tekro [of TNT] is probably my favorite," he replies. "I could listen to a whole album of his and not get bored. His picking wails, and he doesn't sound like Yngwie -- just a real fierce attack. He does some serious smokin', for sure."

"George Lynch of Dokken states Le Tekrø's solo for "Caught between the Tigers" is "a real face-melter. It's spine-tingling"

Well said Curt!!!

I never got into TNT or Ronnie but if you're really hearing similarities between the lead playing of Kerry and Ronnie I'm going to step out on a limb here and say your ears are betraying you. Most of the time Ronnie is playing very diatonically whereas Kerry plays pretty much wherever the pattern lands and moves up and down the neck with it (no offense is meant towards old-school thrash fans, I understand that this is stylistically acceptable).

They are working on dates in the US but right now nothing scheduled.

Really? I can understand you not liking the music, but calling Ronni LeTekro terrible is just plain ridiculous!! And comparing him to Kerry King is hilarious. You must not know a damn thing about music, guitarists and even guitar playing.

Kinda of agreeing here. Ronni a poser? Really? He was pretty ingenious considering the era he came from. Some of the tastiest stuff I've ever heard, and about as underrated as they come.

I seen them once..with Stryper and Loudness. Met him after he got back from the hospital after that show. A tin cannister went off in his eyes that night in Dayton, Ohio and burned his eyes. Super nice guy I remember. Ronnie is very unique awesome player. Querky in a sense, but a master phraser. Very underated. Whats the name of the guy that modded his Marshalls? Anyone remember..

Johnny Jelstad, from Trondheim Norway. I have seem his company listed as Alltron Electronics...other than that don't know much about him.

Why won't they tour the US?

No market.

Their type of music is not what is popular and mainstream in the US today. If it ain't Miley Cyrus,
Justin Beiber or some other such crap, it will not be profitable enough to be feasable.

Granted, there are a lot of us left who like their stuff, but not near enough to make a US
tour "worth their while" so to speak.

Regards,

Scott

Yep!! Sad!! I had to see Jorn Lande in Oslo last year since he does not play here, but I was living in Belgium at the time.
