Last night I was fortunate to see Guthrie Govan Jam 10 feet in front of me. This guy can lay down 3 notes with some serious authority. This guy did some terrifying licks. He first came out and jammed with Jose DeCastro's band. He was another one that tore it up. Ginger baker's son Cody Baker was in the crowd and came up and jammed with Guthrie and the bass player from J.D.'s band. They performed Sunhine of your Love and then just jammed for 20 minutes. Guthrie was playing through the new Cornford Roadhouse 30 amp. This is a pcb not point to point and should be a little more affordable for the masses. This amp sounded great and cut through everything. Rob Marcello followed after and made jokes about having to drink a little more since he had to follow Guthrie's great performance. He put on a great show. (funny guy)
Reb Beach was the last performer. I actually was able to talk to him right after the Guthrie performance. Reb was just blown away by Guthrie's performance. Reb Beach put on a great show himself. He has some serious chops. His sound was incredible. He played his signature Suhr through an OD100SE+. Great personality. Reb also informed the audience, he will be bacwith Whitesnake at the end of March.
It's funny, Guthrie Govan deserves all the fame, but if he doesn't get it, I wil be able to keep seeing him
in these little shows. :D

Better??!? Geez!!!! Is that friggin possible??!?? :gethim:   The guys really maybe my very all time hero when it comes to instrumental guitar work. I dig Timmons for his overall writing skills for SURE, IMHO, Guthrie, Greg Howe, Dave Martone, Luke,( when he's ON) VEEERRY few hit me with enuff diverse techincal skills and musical balance to keep my attention all thru an individual composition, that 'just the right note grouping at just the right time' thing, but then can 'pop the clutch' an still deliver that ' fk you, in your face' chops thing I fkn LIVE for...
Thats one heck of a combination, I'm so STINKINFKNPISSED I missed namm this year.. Thats not a smiley icon, IM actually crying right now..... @#$@(@#%*@#(*%#
PLEEEESSSSEEEEE tell me somebody, somehow, SOMEwhere got a vid of this jam.... uh... FK@#$, im brokenhearted I didnt get to see him this year...  I'm sorry... I gotta go get another Kleenex..... AAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :aww:
