Someone owes the OP a brew for the useful tip. Found mine, way outdated and incorrect but still, happily removed myself...thank you sir.

Guys, be careful giving your email to remove yourself. Some sites do crap like this gain info. And by giving your email address, you just gave them more info confirming who you are. Phishing at it's best.

They had me in there for sure. At least my yard was mowed at the time of the pic? WTF? Looks like someone took the pic of my house from across the street? Scary shit........

I'm on there. I don't sweat it. The only info is stuff that is readily available as a matter of public record. Address, picture of house - from property tax records. Wife name, from marriage records. etc. there's nothing in there that anyone who really wanted the info couldn't readily get anyway.

Soon as I saw that it needed an email address to remove info, I left it alone.

I want to know how it's got hyper accurate info on my 74 y.o. mother. She has never been on the internet!

I left my info there since it wasn't correct. Removing it let's them know it is correct... Now they can sell your info as being credible.

Oh.....crap

Sites like this only make the world smaller. SAD, VERY SAD.
Thanks to the OP for the heads up.

Man they had just about everything on me, down to the house I grew up in...

Creepy.

I was on there. Nothing important on there though, whatever. My grandma had her address and phone number though, deleted her too. Thanks for sharing man.

They had me three times...all old addresses going back to the 90's. They didn't have my Colorado info or my current PA info, but they had my temporary post office box that I had for 2 months during my relocation???

had me on there 3 times, and it was current....

removed it, using a throw away email account. ;)

Too late- as soon as you sign up to CrackBook/Facebook, that wretched Mark Zuckerburg already sells off your private information to make a profit.

If I upload photos to the Internet, then I expect them to be made public. Even if they are "private", there still in the cache on some server, so can easily be copied or screenshots made, then distributed across the world. That's the Internet.
What I hate though is other people making a profit out of spreading my personal information and pictures.

Still, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

So...
There's a new privacy invading site called
Spokeo
http://www.spokeo.com
---------------------------------
There's a site called spokeo.com that's a new online USA phone book w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on FB or web, your approx credit score, home value, income, age. Remove yourself by searching your name, find the URL of your page, then go to the bottom right corner of the page and click on the Privacy button to remove yourself.

How?

Easy, I looked myself up. Click on the correct "You" A map will appear with your profile in a window. Copy the URL address. Then on the lower right is small letters click on the "Privacy" button...
Paste in that URL you copied from the browser...

Well, I just tried to find myself, and it couldn't. Yet it only searched the USA and not Australia...

I tried searching just my surname, and "three profiles" showed up. None of them related to me, and the info that was there was very scarce anyway.
