Have you guys seen TGP new Rules of Conduct?

I know what to expect on TGP before i go there so I'm not bothered either way. I did get yelled at though because some guy was asking how to get his Axe-Fx to sound better live and i told him to leave it home and bring an amp. It was just a warning and it was in the Modelers forum so i understood and didn't make a fuss. I love the classifieds over there though.

I like some of the guys there but that list is pretty damn small, I wish they would allow Tag back to keep the dumblites in check The best thread of all time is when they were discussing Ford's interview when he stated nothing sounded like a dumble and for the couch heros to just learn to play instead of chasing dumble

Their rule of no clones in the spam section is a joke, 1/2 of everything posted IS A CLONE of something.

Their place their rules though, I can respect that but do not make comments about Learner's capri pants

Call me petty, but I listed a Dual Rectifier in my signature for a long time just to provoke them. It actually worked once... dude got all pissed off at my comments and tried slamming my gear choices when they had nothing to do with the subject at hand.

I recently got an infraction for "making racist comments" there because we were discussing buckle rash on the back of Les Pauls. Someone mentioned that in the Southern US they like their big belt buckles so a far share of damage must be caused by them. I then said vintage guitars could never survive Ireland because they have buckles on their hats and shoes not just their belts.

Someone from Ireland reported my post and the mods had to act, one of them was actually pretty cool about it but I still got an infraction.

That pretty much sums it up for me, too. I can find some interesting thoughts on there from time to time, so I browse it occasionally. Like others have said though: It's their party, they can ask me to leave anytime they want for whatever reason, just like any gear forum.

TGP is what is it is. Totally different feel over there. What I don't get it is the whole forum wars, why do people feel the need to slam over forums like TGP, HC, FDP, etc. If you don't like them, don't visit. I remember HCEF and HCAF fighting all the time, just seems stupid to me.

TGP is changing, since they switched the modelers to its own section, I don't see 100's of Axe-Fx threads. I also see less and less threads on boutique amps. The Marshall Class5 and Tweaker seem to be 2 hot amps on TGP right now.

As for no clones in the Spam section, I didn't see that in this list of rules. That would mean I should be able to search and see no Clack, Victoria, little dawg, Hayseed 30 amps. I bet they are out there for sale right now.

Jim, not surprised that Celestion didn't like the pictures, but your right a picture of the cone of a speaker is hardly trade secrets. Not surprised that Celestions new Heritage series is different from their vintage pre-rola speakers. I would have liked to see that thread. Celestion had its chance to produce your speakers, I mean you obviously are a big vintage Celestion fan.....
