Don't know if this has been posted yet, but Rubio's basically backing up what I said.

He doesn't mention the dress-code thing or rolling up late to meetings after sleeping in, but you can imagine that things like that would've contributed to the frustration:

Trump is creating leverage. You can't stop Putin. He doesn't care about dead bodies. But you can appear to be on his side and get him to the table.
Ukraine is a giant waste of tax payer dollars and probably a money laundering scam. Before the war, Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries in the world. All this started because of the Obama administration fumbling around with regime change and threatening NATO alliances.

and if you meet with the POTUS who always wears a suit, you wear a fucking suit.

Also, if you hate Trump then you hated yesterday. If you love trump, you probably loved it. If you are like me and are always wondering where the government is fucking you next, you can be relieved we aren't spending any more money in Ukraine. For now.
 
Oh and if you want to post some dumb heart with yellow and blue colors to show how you stand with the Ukrainian people, well then yesterday was disappointing. If you really care about Ukrainians, then you wanted yesterday to be a success. But that dumb blue/yellow heart just means you have Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Apparently he's been late for important meetings due to "oversleeping".

Then there's his refusal to wear a suit for these important occasions and negotiations. It's like rolling up to Wimbledon and ignoring the all-white dress code.

So yeah, that fast-and-loose comment I mentioned might just have been the last straw in a saga of perceived disrespect, plus of course it won't help negotiations with Russia any.

All true but Z never ever wore a suit to any US meeting whether in DC or abroad.

I never saw him in a suit period

President Biden and the Americans pretty much wished their best wishes and told every American to get out and even told Zelensky to get out...... the country wasn't going to last a month under the full weight and might of the Russian military slamming down on it... But Zelensky never gave up....... 4 years later and 4 years from now even he and the Ukrainians will never give up....... and that's the thing it's not Zelensky....... regular folk and people and the average person in Ukraine never gave up...... as shitty as it is for everyone else in the world..... those people just kept fighting and didn't give up putting up their own blood for compensation for the idea of Free/Western values.......




It's all about the Ukrainian people...... they won't give up..... they won't stop fighting....... they won't quit until they have their land back and that says a lot about a people IMO. With or without help they just won't stop and I don't see that same resilience from their opponents in Russia or even from their own allies who help them.....



Such resolve, determination, focus and values are something to admire IMO and if anything is to be said about Zelensky or the Ukrainians it's that...... those are some tough people, they work hard, fight hard and those are people willing to die for what they believe and a free/just way of life.....

I don’t know if you are just full of shit, or ill informed. If the Ukrainian people won’t ever give up, as you say, why are they being kidnapped off of the streets and forced to fight this war? The only reason that country is not completely conquered at the moment is because it was a convenient money launderer for the US deep state. A leader that cares about his people doesn’t puff his chest up at the country that provided him millions. He was their for the purpose of signing a mineral rights deal with the US, which is the cost of all the money he has taken from US tax payers, and the first step in our helping towards a cease fire. This coke addled midget shows up dressed like he is going to an airsoft match, and proceeds to call the Vice POTUS a “Bitch” under his breath, and in his native tongue. Ukraine has never been capable of winning this war. The only reason they have held out this long is something he should be thanking the US for, because all of those friends and allies you mentioned didn’t do shit. Zelensky isn’t on the frontlines of any war, so it wouldn’t kill him to show some goddamned respect and don’t a suit and tie for a meeting in the Oval Office. He sure as fuck didn’t mind putting one on to address the world economic forum. Bottom line is we have all of those same minerals available for mining in Alaska. We don’t need anything from the Ukraine. Nothing, notta, zilch. Trump and Vance are making dwarf tossing great again. Zelensky will be back, and you can bet your ass he will be in a suit, and minus the attitude.

Those aren't ideal preconditions for a ceasefire, it also leaves Europe vulnerable with no real protection and it's not just Zelensky who doesn't want him to sign it I imagine it's probably European Leaders from England to Germany and France as well and a large group of Center Neo Con Republicans too....... in real politics it also leaves America vulnerable in the future as well.



IMO this whole mess up started with Obama after he refused to really do anything after the Syrians and Russians used Weapons of Mass Casualties or Chemical Weapons..... after Crimea.....



The Russians simply always look for open doors...... and they will always look for an open door unless there is steel on the other side of it..... they will keep looking to open doors as they have in Ukraine and other parts of the world.....




It's good IMO in the grand scheme of things the deal wasn't signed, the war will continue and more will die but the alternative IMo wasn't acceptable for Ukraine, Europe or even the US.



Plus now the Europeans will actually have to do something meaningful and start taking more measures to spend in military and defend themselves vs over-reliance on the US. Maybe peace will come after another 4 years of war but I don't see it coming anytime soon after this.

A main point in all this is; "Europe, arm yourselves. Buy your own hardware and software and drastically increase your military spending and stop relying on America to do it for you".
This has been going on since the end of WWII and the Marshall Plan and should have ended long ago, the US spending untold trillions to babysit countries who won't do it themselves.

I look at Afghanistan. That was a motley crew that whipped the Russians and sent them packing. Ukraine is much more advanced and will be more painful (than Afghanistan) for Russia in the long run. The one big difference is Putin...he won't give up as easily.
