Ok ,second try.
I’ve been a Dead/Garcia guy among others my guitar playing life. Out of practice for sure, we all know life gets in the way.
Being the EVH fan I am, I decided to start learning some…this morning.
It’s off, I know.
I’m learning Logic and playing with gain at the same time.
Flame on!

I guess I should mention…

This is my IR-J
Second channel set to medium gain with the boost on.
Memory Lane Jr delay and Talisman reverb lightly mixed in.

Thank you @RaceU4her

Sounds good to me, but I just have a laptop. I'm not prepared to analyze yer toanz. Hard to do through 1/2" speakers.

Keep practicing with gain. Once you become comfortable with it you can start focusing on pick dynamics.
So much interesting playing from EVH and so many others come from not being afraid to hit it hard or to hold back. Sync that up with some right and left hand muting and you’ll feel like you’re flying in no time

Sounds solid to me for a first go. I dont know if logic has built in plug-ins, but that would be the next thing I’d get into.. eq, compression, maybe some reverb..

good start, slow it down and practice with a metronome. at least one day a week do an analysis and record yourself like you did here. you can leave your previous session's recording in the file if you want to compare progress. create another track in logic an put the real recording on it so that you can slow down, loop, and compare tone settings.

if you keep this up this is the fastest way to learn. for now tone wise just don't pan all the way left, maybe like 25-30% and learn how to send to a reverb and put reverb only either in the middle or to the right. there ya go, just gotta find a good logic youtube channel to learn from and put some time in
