Well done! A couple months late to the party but Genome 2.1 is glorious! If you’re just using cab/irs with real amps, is there any quality difference (all other factors being equal) between using them in your hardware and using them in your software?
Thanks! Great to hear you’re enjoying GENOME 2.1!

If you’re simply using a DynIR or static IR with a real amplifier, there shouldn’t inherently be a quality advantage to running it in GENOME rather than compatible Two notes hardware. In both cases, you’re working with the same underlying cabinet content; the practical differences are primarily the processing platform, available features, routing and workflow.

Of course, the complete signal path still matters — particularly the loadbox, audio interface/conversion and gain staging when working in software — so two setups won’t necessarily produce perfectly identical results.

But if the question is whether you need to move your cab processing into GENOME to get a “higher-quality” version of the same DynIR, then no. If your Two notes hardware is already giving you the results you want with your real amps, there’s no need to change that workflow purely for sound quality.
