They aren’t even replicas, they are different, inferior products offered under names built on objectively superior ones.
Properly stated, they are New Sensor tubes, not even knock offs or proper reissues. One could construe them as tributes, arguably lack luster ones in comparison to the genuine originals, but they are not real.
Essentially, the practice is, in fact, evil, due to the fact that the sales process omits the above and works on ignorance to provide lesser value than advertised. That is cunning, not intelligence.
Does that work for me? No. I prefer the EHX units to the “Stolen valor” imitations.

Nope. But I would labor to balance the actual value with objective, technical information first with subjective taste and judgement second.

That said, Jim’s products carry a name born of the Creator’s peculiar sense of absurd humor and love for a good origin story. His venture is the inverse of New Sensor, in that are made by a “Scumbag”with the purpose (spirit in initiative) to meet or/or exceed the originals’ in value, AND deliver.
