I just don’t get it. Why this guy doesn’t want to earn money?

Some people just aren’t that well organised or are easily side-tracked.

I get the feeling the power station is the big money maker for Fryette and everything else takes a distant second place in priority.

That sounds plausible .

I wonder if they’re thinking long and hard about the future of the big, 100 Watt plus flagship amp in today’s and tomorrow’s market. Beyond some high dollar hobbyists, is it gonna be a big seller? Already direct recording /simulation solutions are pretty damn good and the usefulness of a big wattage amp in a gigging musicians life have shrunken to an all time low. The age of us who still love the big boys is only getting older, but I’m not sure how much of that is happening in younger players today who might want something a little more boutique. Also as touring budgets disappear and nobody is using tube amps, unless they’re back line at a festival and even then the amps are just for show as they use their floor or rack modeler. A lot of it depends on what kind of footprint does Fryette want to have in this rapidly changing market. The niche, tube amp maker or a widespread name in the realms of newer tech. Maybe with things like the Power station they try and have a toe in both?

I've watched enough of his videos to know that he is all in to keep the real thing alive.. He's super passionate. I do however worry that nobody is going to come along to carry the flag. This new amp is exciting to me and might be some of the last great designs. Remember, real pussy will always triumph over a rubber one..

Oh man, don’t get me wrong I’ll die on the real tube amp, big iron is better sword, but I’m a 53 year old, non working musician, this year and just not relevant to the future of amp makers….?
But I get Steve wanting to just make what he’s passionate about and not be in business to just be in business. Just the fact that he did the Sound City thing was great.

^^^ Those Fanes are nice. I wish I could justify a Deliverance 412..
I have a Jet City 212 with Fanes and it's light and sounds great.. It's good enough for now..
