I have a brand new macbook pro, i've downloaded the PI-101 WoS license onto my ilok. Downloaded and installed both the ilok and PI-101 WoS program onto my computer but nothing is launching. Torpedo Live is connected via USB as well.

Has anyone else had an issue with this? Any help is appreciated!

A few things to try, have you validated the plug-in at boot-up in the DAW? This may be necessary after installation. Note that the plug-in is AU, VST and RTAS and does not operate stand alone. If you don't have a DAW software, most sound cards include a lite version DAW for free that you can install and Reaper can be evaluated for free. You may also try a realtime plug in loader like MainStage in order to use the PI-101 without recording. VST versions are the most common.

I'd also recommend starting a tech support ticket at Two-Notes

Further to this, the Torpedo Live and its USB connection are completely independent of the PI-101Wos operation.

Thanks for all the feedback Andy, I have my Apogee Duet plugged in and am planning on running all of this into garageband...That being said, nothing is working at the moment so my technologically challenged self has put a ticket into the two notes live support

I was able to install apogee maestro just fine, and garage band pops open as well when i click on it. I am not sure why the PI-101 WoS program is not even available under applications even though I have installed it numerous times now

Hopefully the two notes guys will look at support tickets over the weekend

PI-101 would not appear in applications as it isn't standalone. Open Garageband, select new track, real instrument and the go to the right and click in the grey area, you should get a scroll list of audiounit effects and PI-101wos will be there as you scroll to the end

Feel like i'm getting closer but obviously missing something thats right in front of my face...appreciate your patience on this

I've got the new track, which is a real instrument, and once i double click on the "real instrument track", the menu on the right side pulls out and shows various effects:

Acoustic Guitars, Band Instruments, Basic Track, Bass, Drums, Effects, Podcasting, and Vocals. I have the ability to click on each one and choose more options, but I don't see PI-101 anywhere. Am I just not in the correct area?

The PI-101 WoS is indeed not a standalone software.

The only way to use it is to load this plugin in a sequencer software insert effect.

I don't know Garage Band but I can help you with Reaper which demo is free:

http://www.reaper.fm/

And suggest you to take some time to read the WoS and Reaper manual if you are new to recording software.

The dev team will be answering you on the help desk but sadly I still can't make them work for free on the week end. ;)

No worries, i dont like working on the weekends either (especially if its for free) so i'll wait till a weekday

before i try reaper, here's a basic question: once i run and install the .dmg file for the PI-101, and the installation is successful, is anything supposed to launch? At this point nothing launches for me and I don't see any installed files on my hard drive either.

Figured it out, i wasn't clicking in the correct gray box :D

let this thread be a sticky for the complete novice digital recording enthusiasts

appreciate everyones help, now off on the long road to learn how to record and use all my toys properly :)
