Understanding intricacies of True Bypass pedals

The G-2 pedal DOES in fact have a buffer in it. @psychodave this is probably why the chain does not like a buffer engaged....there already is one!

I am going to test my sound with and without the buffer to see which I prefer.

Everything is a learning process....but that's what makes it fun!

I removed that pedal from the chain and powered down my board.

Guitar still sounds awesome, like I just have one solid cable running straight to my amp.

I just looked at the schematic for the build ....... it does have the Cornish buffer ....
 
I tested my rig with and without the buffer pedal in the chain and prefer it without.

I tried it in several positions.

I can always do my 'secondary mode' buffer trick on a couple of other pedals if I feel the need for one to be pushing the signal/top end.

Off of the main board the G-2 goes!

With that being said - this G-2 is a great sounding little pedal, so I will be keeping it unless I find a suitable replacement or something...

If I can collect enough 'outcast' pedals - maybe I will do a small secondary board build for fun.
