This is all pretty funny as I love Kiss and JP equally and also don’t listen to much of what either released after 1982 😂

I will say I believe KISS is probably responsible for starting more people into rock, guitar or drums, than almost any other band in rock history. Victim of Changes may be my favorite metal song but stealing chop sticks from the kitchen in ‘79/80 and air drumming all night to Alive II, is what started me on the path of being a musician. No Kiss and it may have been tennis or AFL football that became my thing.

Nothing bothers me more than the way people have migrated to online shopping & became brand whores.. I have stayed true to the tradition of hiking my ass hours away to a shop just to find the right piece.. if there isn’t anything near by don’t be a lazy bitch- just drive… you’ll thank yourself.. I seconded your opinion so that makes it less unpopular now………. 😕

I’ve also somewhere got pictures of me wearing tan chinos and a Hawaiian shirt on stage rocking my RG550. I don’t remember what amp I was using at the time?

Going to a decent guitar store is therapy to me. The possibility of coming across something random and cool is a huge part of it. I’d be seriously bummed if shopping online ends up being all there is.

edit: FWIW, I also own a few Ibanez PS (Paul Stanley) guitars: 2 x PS10, 1xPS120, 2xPS60;, and my chibanez white PS) which are also my fav hardtail guitars. Also why I bought an Engl Artist Edition 100 E561...


Here's the Chibanez, with the white speed knobs, chrome selector, white pickup rings, and set of DiMarzio D-Activator X I put in. Everyone here loves DiMarzio's right?

thanks. it definitely plays above it's price. aliexpress is always a crapshoot, but I got lucky with this one. fit, finish, intonation, stays in tune, etc. feels like an Ibanez PS120 that go for $1000 new, though not at the Prestige/MIJ level of the PS10. Also got the DiMarzio's on sale direct from DiMarzio. All in, it was around $450 max.

edit: I also got a Gator wood (hard) case for it, for $139

We played with them a while back. I remember that. I spent more time talking about Spector basses with the bassist. I think that was in Ft. Wayne, IN. Yeah, it worked for the.

Still, I check pedalboards every show. We care. Most normal fans do not.
 
Almost every ref I see online says Frank Gambale’s chop builder is cheesy. I call it solid gold in every aspect & surprised this workout isn't more popular.

Co-signed. I used that as part of my practice daily for some time and still do here and there.
