USPS strikes again.

Why are you screwed? Did you already accept the return? If not then I wouldn't. I would ask for detailed pics of the box as mentioned above if he can't provide them then call him out on.

While I don't take pics of a box unless its damaged I definitely take pics if the box is damaged. As mentioned above that occurred outside the box. If the box was torn open then that would be obvious when it arrived and anyone with a brain would take pics
 
No, it was eBay sale. The buyer sent the Helix right back, which is one of the things the USPS claims says not to do.

I looked at the box and seems like some kind of hook was used to handle the box. There's several puncture holes in the outside box that go all the way through to the inside box.

Before I can even start the claims process I have to get a written estimate of the repair cost. They don't make it easy.
