Thought I'd compare these under the mic. Cab was an Orange PPC212 closed back. Not exactly sure where the mic was pointed but it was the same for both speakers(I made a template) but it was 1/2" off the grill cloth and pointed at the edge of the dust cap for the most part. Damn grill on the Orange is so thick I'm surprised any sound gets through.
Speakers used were a 1997 Celestion V30 with many, many hours and a Celestion Century Vintage with about 4 hours at the most.
Celestion Century Vintage followed by the regular V30, Then both panned hard left and right and finally both in a mix.
FWIW, They don't sound as drastically different in the room to my old ass ears as they do in the clips.
UPDATE: Same riff. Two more speakers added. Different speaker combo in the "in the mix" portion. Bass, middle and treble are at noon for all clips.
