read the fucking roomWhat about "muh free speech"?
Just because you can, doesn't mean you shouldThe thinking there would be that the freedom-to-be-an-asshole aspect of free speech can be exercised in the myriad of other threads in OTC.
RIP and veteran threads are rightly excepted. IMHO.
Thank you for your service sir.Don't usually come to OTC, but did and found this thread. My retirement from the Army is finally coming in January, after 25 years of active-duty service. I won't say that I did it "back when it was hard," but I sure as hell did it when it was busy.Joined in 2000, was in Bosnia in 2001 when 9/11 happened (Dad made it out of the WTC that day!), and have been gainfully employed ever since. It wasn't always sunshine and puppy dogs, but goddang it was an adventure; I'll miss flying a Blackhawk every day from then to forever.
Appreciate you all out there; be well, stay safe, and make the very best of it while you can.
I appreciate it, I've been lucky to do it for as long as I have.@grooveHT I'm not American but thank you for your service bro'.![]()
Yup. We've always worked extremely-well in-partnership with you guys, the Brits and NZ.Met plenty of coalition partners, including a couple of Aussies; flew with one as well.... back in '11; felt like a group affair.
I'm sorry your evil leaders sent you there to slaughter innocent civilians.Love the vids Dan, thanks!
Special interest was the vietnam fighter jets clip that brought back some memories:
At the end of the Laos invasion and pull-back of S. Vietnamese forces that were slaughtered, leaving a trail of destroyed equipment, we were assisting in the retreat with large numbers of enemy all around us. They called in the heavy hitters that included air support and those pilots were awesome, dropping their payloads in VERY close proximity and keeping the N. Vietnamese off our asses a bit. Heading straight at a rock face mountain, firing rockets into caves on the wall and pulling up at the last instant. It was magnificent. And us guys on the ground who thought our situation was hopeless perked up and let out cheer after cheer. Those guys were the best.
So you've learned nothingI'm sorry your evil leaders sent you there to slaughter innocent civilians.
