VHT/Fryette amps resale values

His post is basic economics. The reason the prices are so low is because not enough people want them at higher prices. Sure, you can price your Pitbull UL at $2500 like some XTCs but you bet your ass it's not gonna sell. This has nothing to do with the quality of the amps, it's just the way the market works.

I had the chance to pick up a Hundred CL the other day but the guy wanted 500 over the typical used value. So no go for me. I want to try one out at home and with a drummer.

Chicken or the egg. People sell em' cheap drives the Market price down or is the market price down so people have to sell cheap. You can love a brand all you want but you can't make people pay more than what they feel it's worth. Tell it to Rivera and G&L. Both make excellent product but their resale is in the toilet. Same goes for Tophat. Killer amps but is it the market saying "you want how much for a re-tweaked AC30 or JMP.....ah..no".

Shit, unless you work for VHT you should be stoked. Unless of course you bought all your VHT new and are now trying to move it

He makes perfect sense. We all make up the marketplace. Sure you help make the prices, you say what you're willing to pay and someone either says yes or no. Enough people say yes to a similar offer and you start getting an average worth. The marketplace is an aggregate of what we as individuals are willing to spend on/sell an item.

Time for a little remedial english. He makes perfect sense. We all make up the marketplace. Sure you help make the prices, you say what you're willing to pay and someone either says yes or no. Enough people say yes to a similar offer and you start getting an average worth.

I've actually thought a time or two lately about going ahead and start gathering up some extra gear when the killer deals float by. Then, when our economy eventually rebounds, start unloading and hopefully resell everything for a decent gain.

Why not..... can't get anything at the bank with interest anyway these days.

I wish the Deliverance 60's had an effects loop. There's a LIKE NEW one on the 'bay for $799 BIN...
There's one in the classifieds right now for $750 shipped

Some of the VHTs hold their value well, it just depends on the model. The Sig:X and Deliverance just are not one of them
