Ok, I think I need a Fatbottom cab in my life. Looking for something different, the Fanes intrigue me but mainly by different I mean a front loaded/sealed back cab. They have been out of stock for a while now and was hoping to use it for an upcoming recording. Does anyone have any leads on one, or should I be looking elsewhere (i.e. Diezel etc). I'm located in the USA (Oregon to be exact, but don't mind paying for shipping, they never pop up locally).

Think if ya want tight low end Fryette is the way to go.... But Diezel cab is more on the beefier side

I'm not 100% sure if they are the same model used in Fryette branded cabs, but the Fanes in my Sound City 4x12 are incredible

I also own a Fatbottom 2x12 with the P50E's

Between the two I'd choose the Fane loaded cab every time. After several years I grew to dislike the P50E's tonally, and I've even blown two of them and had to buy replacements. Never had that happen with any other cab/speaker

Are you talking about the front or rear loaded? The opposite of my experience . I tried a Diezel front loaded and was very let down by it. It sound very small in comparison to the rear loaded Diezel and a front loaded Engl that were next to it.

Ive owned more than one fatbottom cab and they have a pretty big sound. Some rear loaded cabs will sound bigger and more room filling though it depends.

The Fatbottom I have now has the Fanes which I like more than the P50e.

No... i dont have a Diezel cab i only played a FB412 slant with P50es my whole cab experience ... i probably have no idea what am talking about but i did hear a comparison between a Diezel cab and a FB412 not sure if that Diezel was a FL or not... i hear its much less tight and it has more of the bass going on... it probably sound fuller o this expect? Mmmm i shouldnt have said beefier ?

I’m a big fan of my Fatbottom cab. Currently my Fatbottom & Diezel 412FL are loaded with the same speakers (celestions, not Fanes, didn’t like them as much) and I think they sound actually quite similar. The Fatbottom is a bit tighter, faster, brighter and more direct sounding, while the Diezel sounds a bit fatter, fuller, more extended lows, darker, still tight. I like my FB more if I had to choose, but I think you’d probably like the Diezel 412FL too if you can’t get a FB

I have a Fatbottom & Diezel 412FL loaded with the same speakers. The Diezel is tight too. The Fryette is tighter, but not by a ton. The Diezel sound a bit beefier like you said, but my Uberkab sound even more beefy and is a tight sounding cab too
