As an aside, what does it even mean for a guy like Bruce making the kind of music he does in this day and age to be releasing a "single"? Serious question... I mean it's awesome that you're working with him James and he is obviously an incredibly talented guy, but what does he do with a "single"?

Singles still matter to labels and its not always a single in the old fashion way. They can use it to do many things from getting tour interest, sparking interest from potential investors etc. These are just a few things I've experienced. I wouldn't comment as far as Bruce is concerned because that would be inappropriate and unprofessional.

Thanks, James! That explains things. I just asked because I truly didn't understand the value of singles anymore unless you're Justin Bieber or some other pop type. I wasn't really looking for details on Bruce's plans, more just a general question about non-pop musicians and what a single would mean to/for them...

This tone sounds amazing! One of the best sounding instrumental/shredder records I have heard in the longest time & I haven't even heard it yet. DAT TONE though, holy smokes!
I love Bruce's playing, most cats love him for his Racer X work, I actually found him most appealing in his alt-metal project Epidemic, what that dude played was perfect for the song. Very understated, but flawlessly executed each time.

rad
racer x was such a great band to see back in their heyday

zachman and i must have seen them 7-8 times in the metal years and they were in my mind the best 2 gtr band lead players of all. ironically about a month ago i took a signature racer x bruce boulliet pick out of my scrapbook and have been playing with it live for fun.

i know the album will punch face!

Video 2, final mix prep and some clips of the mixing of the first 4 songs:

He was in Epidemic? I haven't listened to that album in years. It was really good as I recall.

Sounds amazing.... Cant wait to hear the full record. I love Bruce's work on the Epidemic album. The new record sounds like its going to be even better.

Video of final day of mixing. For guys that love serious shredding there’s a ton of it on this video. Also a look into volume and FX rides during solos and a full mix rundown.
