Are there any guys into Vintage Stereo systems and prices? I have this old Pioneer set that my dad gave me. I grew up using it and it kicked so much ass, but has not been used in a long time and has fallen into disrepair. Cosmetically it has some issues like peeling of the paint on corners, but nothing that couldn't be fixed up. I wiped off the top in the second pic and it looks way better even then. It powers up and gets sound, and the Right channel works. Both speakers work, but the left is cutting out. It does not seem like a speaker issue, but more just a pot issue. There are some obvious cosmetic issues also, but overall it's in decent condition for someone who likes to refurb these. How much would you say I should ask for it as a fair price?

Old friend of mine bought a Pioneer system when he was serving in Viet Nam. It looks similar lineage but my friend's was like 275 watts per channel. It was a beast! He had two Pioneer speakers similar to yours but also had 2 HPM-150s. No subwoofer needed and it had soooo much punch and no subwoofery boomy lows.

I remember when he would turn it on he had to switch a few switches back n forth to get them to engage. Seems like those switches became a weak point over time. This was 1990s-2000s so it was quite old by then.

Maybe try to Deoxit the switches/pots?

I started off playing guitar on this rig. Literally one of the best clean channels I have heard. I did some research and found out these are JBL speakers. Im gonna do more research
