dime everything? holy shit. If I dimed all the knobs on my 1959 JCM800 I think my house might fall down.

No Kidding! I had a '71 superlead several years ago, and the thing was unGodly LOUD -- so loud it could make you nauseous just standing in front of it. It literally moved your innerds.

Sounded fucking fabulous though. ;)

Hello Pete, Did JS bias the tubes while it was at 90V from the variac? The reason I ask is that I happened to step in to Dave Friedman's when he was biasing EVH's rebuilt original. Dave had the amp at 90VAC and biased from there.

Yup, biased at 90v.

The amp will have a power switch in it that'll take it from normal to 90v and adjust bias at the same time, John is putting it in next time I swing out to the shop- he was going to put it in the other day but wanted to make some changes in its design so we just went with a regular power switch got now.

John making final tweaks this evening...

should I have flipped the pic 180 for ya?.....

Clips coming?

OK guys, this I just ripped out real quick, I can do a much more detailed demo thingie another day- this is a 57 dead center on a Scum M75, and so I was going to that aggressive, bright dimed thing, obviously. The amp also sounds great when you back the presence, treble, and volume back a tad, say to 8 or so, and you can get varying degrees of bass tightness by backing it down (or running the bass channel lower (no I don't have it jumpered but it still adds bass and some gain when you turn the bass channel up) but this is just balls-out. Everything on 10. I think the bass is still pretty tight! Cab is iso'd so no feedback of course- if you are in the room with the cab, the sustain is endless and things come alive that much more, of course.

This thing feels incredible to play.
