@DanTravis62 and @thegame … trying out noiseash’s new plugin emulations… these are the best I’ve ever heard for sure. The eq is incredible. Anyways check out this morin clip again but with some of the noiseash flavor on it. Probably the absolute best high end I’ve ever gotten on guitars ever.

That is analog EQ emulation applied to the existing track? At first I thought it said this is a ready to purchase plug-in of the amp itself. Take the hint!

Haha I apologize, the best NEVE emulations I’ve heard personally, whoops, gotta edit this! But yes, neve plugs on the original tracks, sound incredible to me!

I recently got the Noise ash Rule Tech for 27$ ..such an awesome pultec style EQ. So well done and so close. People rave about UAD but no pultec is alike so depends on which one it was modeled after and Noise ash def. got a good one.

Again though, compression is still better in the analog domain but EQ's now are pretty damn close and the whole game is changing even with plugins. I subscribed to access analog though, awesome service if you want to dick around with hardware or shootout between hardware and plugins to see how they stack up!

Agreed. They make the best pultec clone by far in my opinion. I bought a 500 series IGS pultec clone recently but haven’t Hooked it up yet since my chassis was back ordered, but I have a feeling it’s gonna be not worlds better than noise ash’s pultec clone. It’s the only one I’ve heard that REALLY does the cut/boost thing and sounds right, Atleast to my ears. I use it all the time, rocks on guitars, absolutely mindblowing wjth an 1176 on bass and the noiseash. Quite honestly that’s my go to always for bass usually. Great great plugins, and their new neve inspired simulations are right there with it I think. I have 2 BAE 1073s, which of course get the use, but it’s nice to have the eq and the variants of the neve sound as well on other channels.

Should be interesting to see you shoot out those two pultec takes head to head. I was considering the IGS ( if I ever got to a mastering point) but I figured use the noise ash and then go to access analog and just print through two real pultecs if I wanted. But the noise ash is already there, why bother.

Next I think I'll pickup the "need 84". Sounds sweet and is on sale. I like the idea of that extra band. I've also been considering picking up a capi api 550 clone as those api really sound great on electrics too. I just picked up a klark teknik 1176 last week and while clearly not the real deal, it still does something really cool to the signal and I'm happy with it in my project/hobby studio. Would love something LA - 2A next as well but will have to see. I also have two vintech pres for the neve thing but these Ramsa preamps on my old console sound pretty damn good too. Buying gear is such a rush!

I've heard very mixed things about the klark technik stuff, I'm curious what you guys think of the 1176

Check this out.. especially in the more subtle uses. I still think it beats a plugin. It is that depth at extreme settings which separates the hardware from plugin. But admittedly, you aren't noticing that as much in a mix.

Interesting video, i don't know if it sold me on clark technik or sold me on the nicer clone, but it was a great video either way.

Yes, there is a Def difference but how much does it matter and how much do you need there to be. My idea was bass on way in and parralel compression crushing the drums. Sounds good pumping my drums. But you could say that about a lot of things I suppose from digitech bad monkey to 600$ ts-808.
