Surprised no one put one out sooner. Wonder what they'll cost... Guessing $299 street, and they'll get it.

I was watching the NAMM keynote online and they either mentioned $350 or 350 GBP. I'm not sure.

Just find an old tube tester for $50-$100.

I doubt orange would be remotely close to the build quality of the originals. The trick is to get the user manuals which tell you what settings to use with certain valves if you need it for reference.

I see this as an entry level tester for a guitarist that claims the same thing as the mil-spec testing capabilities that technicians or tube dealers use. Honestly it is a brilliant idea, surprised i have not seen it so far. But to be honest i'd rather have the old types.

Just my .02

Well I have an old Heathkit tube tester with the scroll and in a wood box. I'd trade in a second for this thing regardless. I just want a quick way to tell if my tube is good or bad.

When I was a kid, say about 30 years ago, every now and then I would see a tube tester at some shop like the auto parts store or the old skool pharmacy. It was like Star Wars stuff to me.

We had one as you walked in the local grocery store. It was about 3 feet wide.

Jeez, that makes me feel old, but I remember that, too. :D

I always feel like I'm 20 years old. Then I hang out with some 20 year olds and no, I'm totally 40.

Wow, this is really cool. I'll have to get myself one. Anyone know price?
