I'd hate myself for being part of that - except I'd like the money...

Classic Rock magazine absolutely tore them a new a-hole on that record. Bon Jovi is a perfect example of leaning so far the other direction that you lose almost ALL of your original fan base. Metallica swayed a bit but at least still was hard rock.

I saw Bon Jovi live a few years ago and they opened with "Blood on Blood". A perfect song to open with because it was describing how I wanted to slice both my wrists and see "Blood on Blood" as I asked for my money back.
