Been wanting to try one of these.

I have Bad Monkey, which is great.

FedEx just delivered a Hardwire CM2 that I'll be checking out tonight!

Mxr gt-od is my choice of boost. I like the Maxon 808 but I feel it cuts too much low end. I think the Mxr cuts just enough lows to tighten it up but doesn't cut too much.

Another vote for the TS808HW for straight TS work. That being said I am currently using a Bogner Blue in plexi/100b mode for OD and find I like it more than any TS pedal I used. I also have an Earthquaker Tone Job EQ that I use as a fat boost, almost OD, it really pushes the boosted clean of my XTC classic into SRV little wing territory.

For comparisons sake I've had the TS808HW, TS8, TS9, Aramat Green Machine, Earthquaker Palisades, Talons, OCD, 1st Gen Keeley OD, Keeley Time Machine, Wilson Stoned Grasshopper and a few others. THe best of the bunch was the TS808HW, followed by the Green machine and Time Machine boost.

Still love my TS9.

But ive been using a GE7 for the boosting thing, especially with the Les Paul.

Right now both the Cusak Screamer and a Rook overdrive.

I have an Analog Man modded TS9 which is modded to the original TS808 specs and it sounds great!!!

had analogman ts-9 silver mod, ts-7, bb preamp, barber direct drive, maxon od-820. all great.

probably miss the maxon the most due to it's parallel feature and 18v doubling which made it so creamy and headroomy without overly compressing your tone, even though i always kept a tone press on in front of it,
and particularly good at dialing in a rhythm rock tone with a smooth front end for blending in with the band behind vocals as a texture.

the bb which was tighter with clearer top end for more up front bite and great for adding edge and sustain to a warm overdriven amp sound.

currently have bad monkey and the rare/discontinued klamac arc furnace. originally wanted a tube screamer type pedal because i was after SRV tones more than anything. the klamac stuff is IT for that.

the bad monkey is as good as any generic tube screamer with better low end and warmth generally speaking and was so cheap it was a must have.

Same here.

Maxon tb09 (with the little mini tube )- awesome boost / ts pedal.

Bogner : Harlow boost- clean boost with a hint of compression.... This took me a few weeks to "figure" out how to properly run it with my set up. It's really a clean channel type of boost, but i've finally got it perfect for my lead boost. The Bloom (compression) make my picking stick out and more percussive. Definitely worth a test drive ! I don't even turn my tb09 on anymore, lol

I've got an Analog Man modded Maxon OD-9 that's got the Brown mod and it's killer.

I had one of these and it sounded amazing! I currently have an SBN pedals screamin' eagle which is my favorite. I also have a route 66 and think it sounds great too, very much like a standard ts808. All the pedals mentioned here are very similar to each other it's just some seem to gel with certain amps a bit better due to small tweaks.

The VFE Ice Scream is supposed to have the most tone shaping options of any TS out there. That's the one I'd try next if I had the choice.

I still have an OD808 and a GT-OD.

But, I also really like the Green Rhino, and the MXR modified OD looks like a cool variation of the Green Rhino.

I've been OD hunting a lot lately. I think it depends on application- for me I use it 99% as a clean boost or just a sliver of drive to a high gain amp with lots of dropC and below.
The 808x is impressive- it is clear but might just take a tad too much low end out, IDK. Probably sounds perfect in the mix
I like my ZW OD a lot as it is warmer/smoother, but the toggle is acting uo and overall it's a bit noisy...so I snagged a MXR Badass OD. I think this is my #1 these days, seems to bring the stuff I like about the ZW but with clarity as well as low end control. Super OD pedal
