What´s your favorite TS-type OD these days?

I'm really digging on my old B.K Butler Tube Driver. It sounds great in front of a clean channel, and gives a gain sound this really unique smoothness you won't find anywhere else.

I've got the Tube Driver, a Bad Monkey, and a '79 OpAmp Big Muff Clone for all of my boosting and gain needs. Sounds pretty good to me!

I am done with boost pedals. I realized that they take the fun away from playing for me. I am now plugging straight in and using the gain knob of the amp until the amp saturates. I have mesa amps so they have enough gain anyway. I find myself smiling and dancing while I play guitar. With boost pedals, I was serious and Ocd'ish, always looking for the next best tone that never seemed to materialize. Now I just plug and play and actually enjoy it, just like when I was younger and did not read gear forums.

I have the 808x, but have never tried the regular 808. 808x is an excellent OD for boosting mid-hi gain amp settings. Probably a keeper for me unless I flip it to try the new KSE 808 that is coming soon.

This is the first year I have ever spent so much time and money on boost and OD pedals. It is so much fun. It is always like Christmas around here.i always have a new pedal on order to add to the collection and add a flavor.

Just picked up another stock OD-9. Amazing pedal!!! I don't understand why anyone would want to mod these when they kill in their stock form.

Maxon 808, love it. REALLY want to try the SD 805, heard lots of good things about it.

Better IMO. I had both at the same time a while back and didn't care for the OD808.

What didn't you like on the od808. I prefer my od9 to the od808, but its a slim margin. The od9 is more agressive and tigher on the lows. The od808 is smoother to my ears.

Yup, I think that pretty much nails it from my experience. The 808 is spongier and the OD9 is more aggressive

I like the joyo vintage more than the bad monkey for even less money

but my ts9 will always be my favorite, i like it more than 808

I love my Cusack Screamer V-1. It's perfect. I had Pete Thorn sign it too so it sounds even better!! Haha

Not quite ts type exactly, but I really like my Tim pedal and original version TC booster/dist+ into my blackface fenders.Also using bogner red and blue,paisley overdrive..looking at the king of tone, zendrive, and archer to pick up when funds come in.

TS-9 modded to original TS-808 specs via Analog Man!!! Also digging the SD-1 too!!
