What are RT's opinions the Line 6 POD HD series?

Strange that I have missed this thread.

I consider the Pod HD300 to be a VERY priceworthy unit. 300$ for almost as good sounds as an Axe Fx is just crazy! And you get a perfectly sized pedal unit that' very robust and well built.
But still it's NOT an Axe Fx killer by any means. The Axe Fx is still superior and still worth the price.
So knowing that I could still get a better sound using my Axe, the Pod just sat in it's box.

No shame in buying a Line 6 product. I use their wireless system live. Works great!

I didn't get anything through headphones i liked either, direct through monitors i thought it was ok. But i sold it.

I would love to hear some patches you could make on the HD 500 for metal tones. Have you sat down with it at all yet?

Give it some quality tweak time. Also download some of the presets from Line6's customtones.
