Hey everyone! I just joined this site after lurking for a few days and finding that there is some nice information and a nice vibe going here, so I decided to join up! I presume I already know a couple of you from other guitar forums.

I was just wondering what cables everyone is using for their rigs (Guitar->Head, Head->Cab, Patch, etc.). I'm using dimarzio for everything, but I've recently been looking to upgrade to something a little more high dollar, anyone have any suggestions?

I build my own. I have one pedal board with canare GS6 cable and the everything else is Gepco Xband cable. Switchcraft ends.

Mogami w/ Neutrik ends. I would like to switch to Evidence or something similar, but funds don't permit at the moment.

I'm content with Planet Waves, but I've been curious about Mogami/Lava and some other brands. There's some more important gear on the list before I pump money into cabling though.

this is the only way to go imho. Canare or Mogami cable, Switchcraft for Neutrik ends.

I was thinking of going evidence. Is that supposed to be the tip top of high end cables?

Mogami with Neutrik connectors and Evidence Siren II speaker cables.

Evidence, Van Den Hul, Sommer and a few others are at the top, yes. They're also ridiculously expensive.

Still using and liking Monster for instrument to pedalboard and in between pedals. Also have Monster speaker cable.

When I decide to finish my board or rack my pedals however, I will be using Mogami 2319 and switchcraft or neutrik ends.

Actually the Dimarzio's aren't bad cables at all.

I use a mix of Evidence Melody (do not like the Lyric for high gain), Canare, Mogami, Fulltone, Lava and Kimber speaker cables. I get everything through Mark @ Lava barring the Fulltone's. Lava is 2nd to none with great customer service...fast turnaround.

Lava from wireless to wah (and board patches), Evidence from wah to amp, Mogami for rack wiring. Kimber speaker cable. Fulltone is used for rehearsals and Canare's are my backups.

I do believe in good cables but I have to draw a line at some point on expense. The Evidence is about as high as I'll go now considering the most expensive cable I own is a 100 bucks more than the Evidence and I cannot hear a difference. However thats another debate...I mean if you can afford it, go for it, ya know.

I have dimarzio jumper cables to patch all my pedals together, and im using balanced monster cables to connect my pedal board to the front and fx loop of my amp. also using a monster speaker cable.

the Dimarzio cables are just fine!

don't waste your money.

i've got a little bit of everything from mogami, monster, george l, etc. etc., and the Dimarzio hang right in there.

I've also been using the Canare GS6 cable w/Neutrik ends for several years with no problems. As weird as it sounds, my cables are blue for no other reason than I know they are mine!

Instrument cable is a Lava SOAR. MY rack is wired with Mogami, but I will be switching to Van Den Hul Bay C5 cable and G&H plugs.
Evidence SirenII for cab. I have a tour box coming soon from Lava cable. There are a few cables in there I want to campare to my Lava SOAR. I will review what I receive. I often see cable videos, but honestly, I hear no difference from videos.

Zaolla instrument cables

Monster speaker cables

Homemade pedal board patch cables with Mogami cable and Switchcraft plugs

Monster 500 Rock instrument and patch. Monster speaker cable (the black one). Monster studio patches (the gray ones).

Been meaning to try Mogami or something, but other than hype curiosity I really don't have a problem with what I have.
