single channel with KT-88's in the 100watt range.
+1

Actually here: Single Channel, Capable of decent amount of gain. PTP. FX Loop. Switchable rectifier (tube/silicon). Cleans up nicely. Simple layout no "voice activation of doom" "deep end of hell" buttons on it. Just Volume, Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Master.

I don't know if it's possible to do (I have no idea about technicality of this stuff..) but how bout a dial that shifts the frequencies for the EQ. Is that dumb? I dunno just came to me. Like you set your Treble, Mid and Bass right? There's another knob which makes the whole EQ shift towards higher frequencies or lower frequencies. Is that same as resonance knob? or presence knob? or is it something totally new? I have no idea just throwing it out there.

Sounds like you want more of a parametric eq. That would be cool, even if it was just for the mids.
That's the idea. Let's put it this way: A less limited eq option :D

This would be cool too...

Yeah! A fender style clean and good loop. Have a solo boost for the lead channel. Both channels having different eq's. Maybe a 3 way voicing switch on the distortion channel with a depth knob... Have it be simple but still features that we need.

I got side-tracked with the naked chics thing........................

how about the amps that are built at the seminars come as an amp building kit with instructions inside on what to do? or even the amp already assembled?

+1 I would definitely buy that, I checked out Steve's (sah5150) Egnater Seminar amp and that thing is a monster!

3- Channel Amp (Clean, Rhythm, Lead)
Solo Boost on both Rhythm channels
Voicing switch for Bright/Glassy or Dark clean sound
Voicing switch for Vintage/Modern on the R/L channels
MID Functionality
Both Series and Parallel loops
Quick bias adjust for 6L6's/EL34/EL84/KT88
Power-amp options of the Tourmaster
5 band Graphic EQ (can be used on any channel)

Clean - Volume, Gain, Bass (push-pull for bass shift), Mid, Treble (push pull for bright)
Mid Gain - Volume, Gain, Bass (push-pull for bass shift), Mid, Treble (push pull for bright), Solo Boost
Lead - Volume, Gain, Bass (push-pull for bass shift), Mid (push-pull for mid shift), Treble( push pull for bright), Solo Boost

A Mod 50 packaged in an obedient female supermodel cyborg? As with the Mod 50 preamp, the cyborg should be completely customizable and a wide array of interchangeable "modules" should be available to modify the anatomy and behavior.

Unfortunately, all the higher-end modules also come with the high-maintenance personality attribute.

You can swap one of them for "meth fiend" and that'll get rid of most of the high-maintenace attributes, but, it'll slowly degrade all modules until "recovering addict" is used which will slowly upgrade the modules - it'll be a while again before any of the modules could be considered high-end again, but you won't have to replace the chassis.

I would like to see a 3 channel head based on the 3 mods of the marshall silver jubilee with independent tone controls and a more classic marshall channel 1. FX loop and reverb would be nice to haves.

I would also like to see a better version of what Vox tried to do with the AC50CPH, an AC30 TB channel 1 and a high gain Vox style channel 2.

Also for me I like 30-50Watt amps as I feel I can push them a bit more. So having a power scaling or releasing a lower wattage version is nice. I generally find 100Watt heads hard to control at low volumes. I run my mark IV in half power 95% of the time...

 Except make the loop bypassable via the footswitchable and a boost for the gain channel that adds both volume as well as a bit of compression. Seperate EQ for both channels and a good master volume.

1)

3-channel amp with independent controls
Assignable Graphic EQ for tone shaping
Assignable Parametric EQ Boost section on the amp that actually boosts the amp like running a tubescreamer in front of it that can be kicked in and out of the circuit. The Parametric EQ allows you choose the frequencies that you want boost or cut. Id gather you would need a noisegate built into the amp when this feature was engaged!!
Independent effects loops for each channel
Slave out with level control

2) If Bruce ever gets tired of running the amp building class May I suggest that he has the class professionally filmed and released on DVD. A step by step DVD would be awesome!
All the schematics/ drawings could be put onto the DVD so people could print it out and the kits could be purchased from him.

Keep them coming!

Here is the problem. Even if this were done and an amp was built and it was done poorly, it's got his name on it and he does not want anything out there that might even remotely look like a FAB!

That would probably end up being really expensive, but an absolute winner.

How about a one channel non master volume 30 watt class A or A/B switchable, and spring reverb?

Now we are in the realm of $4500

I like this idea for the 30 watter...the first one will be more than a Diezel!

Something that would be really cool is exploring alternate transformers/power supplies/etc. in the hopes of lightening Egnater amps AT LEAST ten pounds WITHOUT sacrificing tone. Sumbich amps are heavy :aww:

Well then have him sell the kits without the Egnater logo !!

FWIW, Ive seen a lot of metroamp builds and not one of them looked like a fab !! The metro kits also don't come with an Instructional DVD nor do they actually teach you what you are doing

Thank you, and I would just like to say the fact that you are asking the consumer for ideas is really a great thing. Not often do you get companies asking what the buyer wants in a product.

If you make the 30 watter, could I be first in line? I would love something like that.
