Someone bought an amp from me and then sent this message. The amp was like new and always operated without even a single microphonic chirp. I knew immediately they were lying. Here was what they said:

"the amp doesn't work right i plunged it in and a power tube went bright red and died i put in a new set and it wont keep bias it goes from 38mv right on perfect then shut it down and its 45mv put one more new mated set of tubes in it and same thing i read this is a problem with this series amps they have a dias drift problem so i dont want this amp it needs fixed by a amp tec and shipping back and forth ill be out way to much money probably 300 for tec and shipping back and forth inshured another 200 so im not willing to put another 500 in this amp"

PM me this guys info. Might be someone I dealt with before. . . . same issue.

You nailed it! What a coincidence. Sorry to hear about what happened to you. Some people have no honor.

Just happy to stop this clown now. Wish I had the knowledge before I got the shaft!

Mind sharing his info so the rest of us know who to watch out for?

If I end up getting ripped off then I'll let you know. For the time being, I have to wait and see how things transpire. Otherwise, it will just be slander.

Probably writing from an IPhone.

If you got one, you know what I mean.

In the meantime, we should at least know what state he lives in, so we can narrow down where NOT to ship things.

I just found out a few things, and if I'm right, this could be a bombshell. This guy may be passing of as new an amplifier he made one of our members pay repairs for without disclosing those repairs in his Ebay listing. I'm waiting to hear back from our Rig-Talk member to see if this is the case... more to come...

Definitely report back. I almost never sell anymore unless I know the person or have done deals with them before.

Yeah, I've mainly been giving my stuff to kids in bands and churches rather then deal with selling things. Not worth the hassle.
