You should've returned the stuff you got on credit then or at least went back and paid for it. It would've been the honest thing to do, IMHO.
Right, that's a good one. Because guitar center is Sooooooooooooooooo honest.

So it's only right to be honest if the other guy/business is?

This happened yesterday. A GC in California is selling a Roadking in a flamed maple headshell. I called up to see if it's a series 1 or a series 2 Roadking. The guy on the phone said that the amp says Dual Rectifier on the front so it has to be a 2.

At GC I heard the salesman who was in his mid 20's tell a Guy in His Late 30's that was rocking out on a Gibson Les Paul Standard, He said " That guitar has the best EMG's i have ever heard" They were actually Passives Seymour Duncan JB uncovered in the bridge and a 59 covered in the neck.

"Don't worry I'm not recording"......three years later I'm still getting a check for 16 cents from a something called "lemon party"

If that is true that is pretty messed up.

I have had music stolen by loser bands whom I left previously after verbal agreements and nothing pisses me off more.

Would be even worse if it was just a 1 person engineer situation.

"A chambered Les Paul is good, that's what everyone wants these days." :scared:

And the crazy myth that putting a car battery on the ground will drain it (or "ground it out" as I've been confidently told by several automotive technicians) .... It won't guys.... really, it wont...

Not so much incorrect information as an overly douchey sales person. I was in a GC south of Denver to try out the JVM410 when it first came out. The sales guy asked me what guitar I wanted and I said it didn't really matter...anything with a humbucker and a Floyd would do. He goes and grabs a new white Jem and I proceed to tune it up and test the amp. He interupts after a few minutes and says "so do you want the guitar?". I reminded him that I was checking out the amp and not the guitar and proceeded to play some more. Maybe a minute later he says "you sound great playing that guitar, should I wrap it up?".

Now I'm getting a bit annoyed and ask him why he keeps pushing the guitar on me and if it's got some kind of spiff on it or something. He laughs sheepishly and walks away. Not more than two minutes go by and he's back, once again asking if I want the guitar. I reply "Yeah, here, hold on to it for a second", hand it to him, and walked out. WTF???
