What is the greatest Engl

That would be the Artist Edition 100.

There's a bunch of good ones, but I like the artist as well

I still regret not buying the AE100 from the classifieds a few months back. I didn't have the cash then, and I won't for a while ha.

Savage 120 MK II was the king out of the ones I owned. Better than the P and F balls. Still sold em all though😂

I’ve owned several, but not an AE. The Blackmore was my favorite of the ones I’ve owned.

It’s fireball 100
And I don’t own one . I have Powerball one which I love for recording . Funny enough I decide to use it at band practice tonight
I’m going to test this theory : are the trannies ok then too small to cut through drums and mix loud . Or will it mush out and blend with cymbals
If the drummer shows
I’m still wasting now

I had a FB100 pop up locally and having loved the one I had as my second amp many years ago, I got bit by nostalgia and grabbed it. I sold it within a week. Against the 6505 1992 original and JCM800, the Engl sounded like...well an Engl, processed, dry, lifeless, sterile. It was pretty bad to be honest, and I used to really like Engls.

If I'm forced to be able to own just one amp for the test of my life, this is it.

I'm convinced I can dial any tone out of it.

Artist is killer, so is the Ironball and fireball 25
not fireball 100

Everyone is wrong. The best ENGL is the 100 watt Steve Morse.

I've never played one that I didn't like the sound of

Even the Thunder head which was one of their cheapest offerings was a killer sounding amp IMO

I had the exact experience comparing a FB100 and PBII to my Recto and Naylor.
The Engles sounded like grainy, sterile cardboard in comparison.
I would like to try an Artist eventually.
