I run my G10 3 feet from my wifi and hardly ever get a dropout. The XVive gets glitchy.
I just snagged a G10s and it seems vastly improved from the G10 in many ways. Not sure if this helps but there it is
So the G10S is better? I'm curious how so? I like my G10 but was wondering about the new model with the channel selector. I know that base is now pedal board friendly, I probably would have upgraded too but I figure out a way to use the G10 usb base with a reverse polarity cable + barrel to usb adaptor, so far so good.
G10S has a longer range.
the best improvement was including a normal 9v connection as that previous micro usb was not reliable- 1 touch and your signal was out. Looks like you have that solved.
Many G10 people said that where you plug in the transmitter to charge pushed into the circuit board and eventually killed it (which happened to my first one). The new one has a different type of horizontal connection which I hope is improved.
The 10 and 20 ft cable sims actually sound decent.
channel selections
Comes with an adapter as some guitars didn't work well without

Pro Audio Star had it 15% off...and looking at used prices, I could likely flip my used G10 for about the same cost making it a no brainer if you like the G10
Thanks dude, longer range sounds good to me... Gonna compare to that boss one I think, both sound like they are really good.

Here are some key specs:

  • G10: 50' range; Battery Life: 8 hours
    $249 G10s: 130' range (wow, that's a huge leap!); Battery Life: 8 hours
    $199 Boss wl 50: 65 ft. Line-of-sight;Battery Life: 12 hours

You can get a 15% off coupon if you look or ask around

I’m super happy with my Shure GLXD-16. No noise or interference issues. Just one happy customer.

2.4Ghz and 5Ghz is definitely a fish market. Just about every commercial product uses the range from telephones to Bluetooth and WiFi, I think it’s the only “free” range not regulated. Seems like we could expand that and condense some other ranges that have less shit.

Anyway, I took the plunge and bout the Boss wl50 just for ease and playing all over the house. Sounds and feels great and I go upstairs, outside...not the rigors of gigging nightly, but works great.

Shure GLXD-16 for me . I started having some issues after getting a new router . Changed the channel on the unit and problem solved . Been using it for about 2 years

Been using the G50 since 2011 or 2012. Never had an issue. Big stages like House of Blues to small shitty clubs with neon lights and outdoor festivals.
So I recently decided to buy a 2nd one for another rig. Got it and everything was fine. My first show with it was at House of Blues Houston 2 weeks ago and everything was fine at soundcheck. 2 minutes before we go on I check my sound one more time and I'm getting dropouts. Couldn't believe it. Never had an issue with my old G50. It was constant but it would dropout every so often. After the 4th or 5th song I switched to a cable between songs.
Did some research and the old models run in RF1 mode. The newer models are shipped to run in RF2 mode. Read on the Line6 forum to switch over to RF1 mode and it will take care of the issue. I did and so far so good.

Are you using it at home or are you gigging much? When I had the Shure, I didn't have much problem with mine at home, even in the same room as my router. Mostly just at crowded venues.

I read this somewhere else recently, and forgot about it. I need to try this for sure.

I too have had great success with the Shure GLXD16. In over 3 years of use I have not had any problems other than going out of range at an outdoor festival (walked really far away) it started to cut out so I came back and it was fine.

Two other band mates got one and only had a problem with the power going out on it one time at one gig.

If you’re really looking for reliable check out the units in AC/DC’s rig rundown (Shure Axient) as those are top shelf units... but you’ll pay for it too ($3K)

Switched my G50 to RF1 this weekend for the first time. Performs flawlessly so far. Hopefully that fixes my problems!
