What is your "go-to" hi-gain amp??

SLO has a good clean imo. Mesa mk3 is good, not as good as an SLO imo. And a VHT Deliverance can have a nice slightly dirty clean by rolling the guitar volume back, even if you are maxed out on gain. Its really uncanny how well this amp cleans up with the guitar volume.

Well since it is the only amp I currently own: VHT Ultralead.

But as others have stated it does all gain ranges pretty well.

You will not get "Fender" cleans. But you won't get that from anything but a Fender.

I think the VHT cleans are really good for an amp that can also do completely brutal tones.

Otherwise you will need two amps in an ABY or like someone else mentioned, get a brutal high gain amp that you like and utilize the loop or throw some pedals up front and do some tap dancing.

5150 III. Fender type cleans. More gain than you'll ever, ever need.

Herbert. Ultralead. Any Peters with a halo channel. DAR FBM or Tuzzia.

Roland jc-120 with a good dirt box.

For me it's my H&K Triamp MKII. Great high gain sounds of all ranges, with a shimmering, rich clean sound.

Diezel VH4

Runner ups would be a Mesa Mesa Roadster/Road King/Rectifier or Mark IV/V

Gower modded Fortin Killer Kali++ Marshall JCM 800 2203.     Don't need anything else at the moment!!

Mesa Dual Rectifier Roadster and Hughes & Kettner Switchblade 100. Both of which, with the right tweaks, have great clean channels and Mark Day level gain :D ...

Friedman Smallbox right now. Before that it was a 100 watt Einstein. I have to have a legit clean channel when I play live.

If you're on a budget a MKIII Boogie is a great choice.

My Mark III purple stripe or my 5152. Depends on what mood im in :D

Triple Rec for me too. I don't use a clean channel though. I just roll off the guitar's volume knob.
