For Parametric EQ’s my 2 favorites so far have been the TC 1140 and Furman PQ-3. I sold the Empress PQ and Boss PQ-4 fast after comparing them. I just got an Audioarts 4100 that I heard great things about, but won’t get to try it until I’m back in NY unfortunately.
For boost pedals, my favorites for what you’re describing (of the 100+ I’ve owned in the past) are my Klon Centaur, Jauernig Kollmanation and Fulltone Ranger. Obviously the Klon isn’t something most are willing to invest in, but the others are also amazing as are those PQ’s and they can cover similar ground. Other than those few pedals I’ve kept, the 1140 or Furman PQ-3 can be dialed in to sound like a better version of almost any other boost pedal I’ve owned in the past, but there is a learning curve
