Man, I love my JEL1x12. It sounds better than any cab I've ever tried. What is the question exactly? Are you looking for a price to ask?

if you are sticking to a head, I love my JJ jr. Dave mentioned that the new Phil X 3-channel 20 watter will be out at the beginning of the year. Since you have a stereo pair of cabs, you could also go the Synergy Syn2/Syn 50/50 route.

I got the Suhr SL67. Might be too close. A JEL 50 is on the table as well. Especially since it's EL-34's and there is now a bright cap switch on the Gain channel.

Stereo just sounds huge! Throw an SPX90 on the Symphonic preset or something similar in the mix and you won’t believe how good it sounds.

I love my JEL20 head (I see that you didn't like it).. but recently got the SYN20IR and love it too. I've got the Bogner Modules, the Mesa Modules and the SLO and they are all great. They sound awesome through my JEL 1x12... again it is the best cab I've heard.. do you like your two?

They (Friedman 1x12's) haven't been getting any use since I got rid of the JEL 20 head. I did notice Friedman added a Bright Cap switch for the Gain channel on the JEL 50. I wish my JEL 20 would have had that. It was too bright w/ Strats.
I just got the Synergy 50 watt head. I'm digging that. Looking hard at the Soldano X88IR, but it's $$$$ and I'm scared the Synergy SLO II might be too similar.

Jose? That would probably be my first choice if I were buy another Friedman. I own the BE50 and sometimes wish I would have waited for the Jose to be released.

Jose is a real possibility. R Weaver made a few great clips I thought sounded killer.

I remember reading somewhere that the early versions of the JEL20 were brighter and Dave reduced the brightness in the later batches. What's interesting to me is that I had Dave add the JEL tone to my BE, but it sounds more bassy and wide and only a smidge brighter. I wonder if I really got the JEL sound. I haven't yet tried the JEL 20 or 50.

When I bought my Soldano Astro 20 I tried it in the 1 x 12 JEL cab and in a Friedman 2 x 12 with v30 and both sounded fantastic, with a Strat and my Jem7vp if it can help.
