The very first rock album I can remember listening to was Guns 'n' Roses "Appetite for Destruction" on cassette thanks to my brother. I couldn't have been older than 5 (born in '84). To this day it is still in my top 5 of all time. What was your first rock album?

The first album I ever owned was Nevermind. Before that though around age 8 I used to sit and listen to Back in Black and play solitaire on my parents old IBM 486 for hours.

Don't really care for Nirvana or AC/DC anymore.

First was Ratt's "Invasion of Your Privacy" followed by "Master of Puppets."

The 1rst Montrose album...
Its still badass to this day

I listened to a lot of Michael Jackson's Thriller and Bad on vinyl
The first tape I got was New Kids On the Block (keep in mind I was 8 at the time)
Then at about the same time I got Metallica's self-titled album on tape, I guess that makes it the first rock album

In 1978, I got AEROSMITH
GET YOUR WINGS on Vinyl,
for my Birthday.

Kiss - Double Platinum on vinyl.

Which equated to 2 records for $5.99

The first rock album I listened to was KISS - Rock & Roll Over (on 8-Track! - It was my sister's).

The first one that I owned was KISS - Double Platinum (on vinyl).

Don't remember for sure, but it was either T Rex Electric Warrior, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars or Black Sabbath Paranoid

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son... I put it on in my mom's minivan while we were driving, almost 30 seconds into the first song, she tossed it out the window. :aww:

Same here! I was in 3rd grade..late 70s. One of my classmates brought in the album and played it on one of those ultra lame classroom record players (realistic or something). I remember hearing that opening riff to "I Want You", when the band kicks in. I was changed at that moment haha!

Rush - 2112 followed closely by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - I Love Rock n Roll (vinyl for both).
