My morbid curiosity just got the better of me and I wiki'd both these albums... Both released in '77 so my guesstimate as to both being a tie is pretty dead on. I would have been 7 years old :D
 
Somewhere around Styx - Pieces of Eight and Van Halen 1. Such great albums! Wore out the needle on the turntable and the grooves on the vinyl.
 
KISS Alive! and KISS Hotter Than Hell

Got them for Xmas when I was in 1st grade. That must have been about 1979/80 or so.
 
my first album i got was ratt- out of the cellar and motley crue- shout at the devil. i think i was 9 yrs old.

growing up my mom was into aerosmith, zepplin, def leppard, billy idol when i was a little kid, she was a young mom and liked rock music.
 
First one (vinyl) I owned was Night Ranger. First I remember listening to was dad's vinyl collection...Led Zep 4 and Cream Goodbye or Disraeli Gears
 
Kiss Alive ... Listened to it with my cousin when I was in Kindergarten.
Back in what...1976? :confused:
We used to listen to it all day long.... :lol: :LOL:
 
Rush - Fly by Night....Found the tape in my older brothers room and he let me have it.

Red Hot Chili Pepper's Stadium Arcadium was the first album I ever bought... Was a huge fan of the Dani California song at the time and bought it for my birthday

Still a great album
 
Mine was Van Halen II. Got it when I was about seven years old.
