From what I understand about this, which granted isn't much, it's about how much you want to spend and of core what your needs are.
If you need more than one wireless, for multiple guitars and such...that is one way.
If you just need one wireless and will switch the transmitter from one guitar to the other, then that's another way.
Personally, I use Shure. I don't have multiple units, so I switch my transmitter when I switch guitars.
It has become second nature to just unplug and plug back in. I switch about 4 times a show, in the middle of a set.
The Shure has been great. Dependable and most importantly uses AA batteries. So I can use rechargeable AA's.
I would HIGHLY recommend getting a unit that takes AA's for this reason. Saves on 9 volts.
I have a Shure mic as well and it uses AA's too.
The SLX model is enough for most clubs/events. No need for a 200' range.
When I am playing stadiums then I will consider the next level.
I spoke to Pete Thorn about this at one point and he said he was using Audio Technica.
The specific unit I can't recall at the moment, but it was in the $2000 range. A bit more than I can currently spend for wireless.
He said that the AT was awesome and he had never had problems. Plus, he is touring, so I take his word for it.
I would go that way if I had the $$ to spend
Good Luck
