What's a good bridge pickup to go with a paf pro?

I was going to suggest the DiMarzio Super Distortion as well. I'm sure you can make it work.

That said, I've grown to like the Tone Zone in our other guitarist's Charvel as well, but as you already have a pickup that's fairly similar to it, I'm at a loss actually.

I already had to route out just where the legs sit and its as low as it can go. I'd have to route the entire cavity and Im not sure I want to do that

Why not just swap baseplates?

The SS is a taller pickup. The baseplate is already resting on the body inside the cavity...its as low as it can go without routing the cavity deeper. I mean it sounds ok but it is still just too high to the strings and has a harshness to the sound I dont like. I raised the floyd to where the strings were way off the neck and felt like a cheese grater but it sounded warmer and less harsh. I thought about shimming the neck but the guitar plays so perfect where it is and I dont want to jack it up
