I don't think I've ever had airline food. Even a flight from Taiwan to Seattle, or NJ to Munich i passed if it was offered. I think it's possible to go 6 hours w/o eating and don't get the demand for meals on planes.
Of course 1st class would be different...more palatable.

just have to be careful, even things that have good dates could have sat out of refrigeration for awhile, etc., I still can't believe people eat prepacked sushi from the airport. I've had better luck with fast food or the sitdown restaurants at the airport than the grab and go pre-packed food like sandwiches and salads.

Depends on how healthy you are. If you're like me, you get headaches from flying and it isn't all that enjoyable. Take lots of vitamin C. Enjoy the beauty of the views.

I thought that was John Wayne Airport in OC? Short runways. I haven't been to California in well over a decade maybe two, except layovers on my way to Asia and not leaving the airport.
