Why do "real amp" guys always feel the need to ejaculate all over any discussion about the Axe-Fx? When I wasn't playing one, I never felt I needed to inject my opinions about the "this is better than" chest-beating. Nor did I pile onto the "they suck" wagon, prior to ever having played or having one.

Good grief.

All this thread was about was how stoked I was to have another one, since I really like everything they are capable of. I don't sit and talk about how they "shit all over" a "real amp", nor do I say anything about how they compare...in sound or monetary value.

Also, it cracks me up when people say amps never lose their value....if that were true all we'd see are amps at list price. I can find a 6505 every day all day for $500 or less, and that amp lists for over a grand.

Hey, i'm not trollin here. I just find with all these new digital processors and pre-amps that they eventually become obsolete and the re-sale value becomes near nil, ya know what I mean?? But with real amplifiers, they never lose their value.

Exactly. It only takes about 90 seconds to find a thread where everyone is complaining they cant sell anything. Amps ARE losing their value. Musical Instruments as a whole are losing their value. The one thing that is moving is modelers. People are getting sick of having massive amps take up so much space when it is unnecessary for 95% of the people who play guitar.

Congrats! I have mine for like... I dunno? 3 years now? Something like that. Since Version 10. I had an Axe Standard before that.

Sometimes I do miss the simplicity of just cranking up an amp, but there is no denying that the Axe sounds and feels great, and part of the charm is the diversity. Any sound. Into amp, PA, FRFR, Headphones, Computer, guitar cab, etc... it basically does everything.
