What's the 1 knob Marshall the "Influencers" are hyping today?

I remember seeing that and Euge talking about the Bad Boy and he would say that the amp would get real hot and it was in for service and the tech I believe left the amp alone I believe it’s probably something internal

It's a great sounding plugin but i get slightly better results so far with the Softube Kerry King. It's just angry. I'll probably still get these for layering purposes. The JVM one is killer too.

I tried the Softtube Marshall suite once and it was pretty good but still preferred TH-U and Amplitube over it. They were offering it at $19 then for that suite. That's a great deal.. but Amplitube is the best deal of all... plus it has a lot of tools for practicing, including recording software built in. Most of my time on guitar is practicing and Amplitube makes it more fun to me.

I'm going to do the free trial of the AmpKnob Marshalls as soon as I get some time.

it's what Euge calls his JCM 800, "the bad boy". He uses his bad boy as his standard to rate / compare other amps...

He's well-known for using Bogren plugins and IRs, so this is probably his signature amp plugin.

It sounds aight. I'm not like ridiculously impressed with the demo, but it sounds good and has potential, I think

Have you tried Softube since their big update last year? Massive improvements were made. I always use external IRs too but the Kerry one is perfect as is.

I'm pretty sure it was less than a year ago when I tried it.. I could be wrong though.

They do sound really good as far as amp sims go but I know once i play through it, there will be a strange discord between latency but also touch and response. I currently will only go so far as tube amp through Load/IR. The response is strange off modelers when loaded in the DAW.

I really like his 5150 variants of the Amp Knob, and the original Rev C dual rec one. They're great for something quick to pull up and jam on.

That demo sounds REALLY good to my ears. Whatever they are doing at Bogren, I'd say they've figured it our cause i could rock that plexi all day and have no issues. (if latency wasn't an issue)

FWIW i haven't had latency issues since I switched to Apogee interfaces. I think my roundtrip latency at this point is 1.6ms. So, non existent. I think a number of other brands have gotten theirs down pretty low too. If you're still wrestling with that, you might want to look into an upgrade.

i keep wondering if its just basically a NAM pedal profile followed by a NAM amp profile and a IR loader with a nice GUI.. dont know.
