What's the best high gain amp you've played?

i have other amps that i love almost as much but if i could only choose 1 amp its the herbert.

Bogner Uberschall, Cameron Modded JCM 800 LG/HG or my self modded ADA MP-1 with the three tube mod. Thing is mad high gain to the point of too much. Is that possible?

I'm really happy with my Peters triple channel. Just can't decide whether I like the FSM or Hydra channel better.

Others in my favorites list for high gain are the VH4, Hagen, and 6505.

But the best I have ever heard was Mightywarlock's VH4 hands down. Had a clarity mod or something, you would have to ask him what it was. Never played a stock one but that amp was so good...

Fortin cali modded marshall. Mines got clean, footswitchable gains, and masters, and just about anything else he thought he could fit in it. Amazing amp.

There are a lot of players here that like modded marshalls. A LOT. But there are a lot of great amps that are recommended here that aren't popular. I'd put the knowledge here against any other board and I have a feeling we'd come out ok.
