Opening chord "Hard Days Night" Beatles. Pretty much says it, and did not require distortion.
Funny that's the first one I thought of too in terms of a single chord struck

So many chords off of either of the last two Mastodon albums are Heavy As Fuck. Lots of down tuned layering of course though!

Back in Black opening E chord..still unsurpassed!

Can't believe I neglected this one... Man every time I hear this, THIS is the epitome of HEAVY:

The opening chord for ...

Kiss...

She

So Epic seeing that live.

fuckin this

saw them again in Rock in Rio two weeks ago
mindblowing

sepultura also kicked some serious ass
their new drummer is far better than Jean Dolabella and Igor Cavalera (saw them live with each one)

metallica was slipping lots of notes, but was a killer (and LOUD) show
my ears were almost bleeding

was expecting more from sebastian bach and rob zombie, but wasn't impressed

I know, eh? I thought it was just me, but man, it just doesn't let up in that grinding, chewy, throaty tone... Love it.

Gotta say the A (flat) in Eruption!! It just screams BROWN!

This.........of course!! The "A" chord heard around the world!!

Lot's of Swedish DM could take this but I'll go with some classics. Probabaly more champions of raw than heavy or meaty.

the first note of "Tiptoe through the toollips" wait... i got nothing...

Rainbow in the Dark FTW

Good call!

My contributions (just off the top of my head). There are so many but the open D chord with the added A string:

Listen to the whole tune but the chord at the 7:19 mark is huge:

Don't listen to them very much anymore but I always thought this chord sounded huge (the 1:12 mark):

Triptykon - Abyss Within My Soul
Ive really turned on to that sound, heaviness has not meant the same to me since I heard the album
