think superstrat with hair on your thumbs.

Suhr Aldrich.

It's a loud bitch, but still cleans up well.

By the way, who walks up to an animal like that? Bad move. One she'll never forget.

SD Alt8...so friggin saturated and beastly. Love it for huge chug rhythms.

Aldrich.

She's lucky she is still alive and has a cheek bone.. or maybe she isn't, we didn't really see her get up.

nor would you remember

oh another thing i don't like tremendous kardashian lows or woody allen blowing his nose mids.

clear low E string tracking, liquid high E sustain without overt compression, retain clear D/G/B string chord clarity....

I really dig the MCP Afwayu. I'll be getting a Manlius Asphalt for Christmas . Really looking forward to trying that out. My buddy has the WCR Ironman in three guitars and that's a killer pickup.

the Duncan super v. I don't really know anyone who has played them but me and guys I sold guitars to with the super v in them. they all loved the super v. It is both tight and clear. it does what you described. I have tried many, many pickups, and to me, the super v is amazing. total clarity, punchy, very articulate. in high gain situations it is MASSIVE and tight. really good for a lot of gain. I heard Duncan stopped making them but I am sure you can get one on ebay or somewhere else online. I sold a guitar with a super v to a guy who played emg's and after playing the super v he switched over to them. it sounds great in maple, alder, mahog, basswood with maple cap, and mahog w/ map. cap. try one!! couldn't really find other clips

For something on the hotter side I've been stuck on the MCP Garuda for a while. It's in the JB ballpark both in terms of output and tonality, but without its annoyances. The lows are more coherent and tight. There is a little bit of an upper mid spike, but it's not nearly as strident and overall more balanced across the eq spectrum, so my guess is you wouldn't feel like you're dealing with a congested woody allen haha. The feel is also a little bit juicier than the JB too. You notice is mainly on the top end. It still retains good string separation under gain, and isn't overly squashed feeling. Just an all around killer pickup with some heat.

The original Duncan heavy metal live wire bridge that ran on two 9vdc batteries...wired without a tone knob. Too strong for any noise gate pedal at the time. Banged the front of any amp like a sledgehammer. Great mids that compensated for the mids we all cut at the tone stack back then. Pick attack like none other, and harmonics the jumped off the guitar when you looked at it funny. Still have one in a favorite guitar to yank out when I'm forced to plug into a lame amp....otherwise I have to roll off the volume knob about halfway.

Screw all these pansy high dollar boutique pickups, old school Duncan Invader FTMFW!

BKP Nailbomb is a very aggressive sounding pickup without turning the instrument output waveform into a brick. There is the right balance of high end sizzle, mid push, and low end body in a PRS. It makes the guitar sound angry but still lets you breath on the dynamics a bit.

Agreed, I had a set when they first came out until about 2 years ago I sold them with the Jackson they were in.

Those pups destroyed and sounded better than any EMG I tried.

I have seen them go on ebay for under $10 as well.

These days I would probably rather try a Motor City or Bareknuckle but the HMET's slay.

I have a complete Livewire metal set still in the box. I guess I should try to sell them.
