Egnater doesn't make the tubes- There is no Egnater brand. They just have their name put on them. Anything that meets the specifications will work.

I've got a couple of "Egnater" 12AX7s . . . pretty sure they're just Sovteks.

Yes, I However, I would like to buy just those selected by Egnater. Why? recently tested various brands of power tubes - JJ, EH, RFT, and none of them sounded as good as the standard Ruby Tubes selected by Egnater.
