I saw that the prototype Cameron 2x12 was made with V30's, but the 4x12 is loaded with Celestion G12H 30's.

I have a Mills 212 (V30's) and an Orange PPC 212 (Heritage Greenbacks) and wonder which would work best.

Most people haven't had good luck with V30's and CCV's. A Greenback flavored speaker is best, IMO, so go with the Orange cab.

I played my CCV through an Orange 212 with v30s and didn't like it much. My Mills 412s have Scumback H55/H75s in them and they sound killer. I'd put new speakers in the Mills if I were you.

I use M75/H75 65 Watt Scumbacks with my CCV. I am very happy with the tone.

I tried my Mesa 2x12 with V30's. Didn't like that cab at all with the CCV.

try classic lead 80's , they are warm and neutral and sound beefy in 2x12 applications

Thanks everyone - Sounds like a good starting point should be the Orange loaded with Greenbacks.

Just put in a pair of Scumback M75's in one of my 2x12 cab's and they sound incredible. I can't believe how good they sound when matched with the Cameron.

How would a M75/H75 65 watt combo sound in a Bogner 2X12 oversized cab with the CCV-100? Others recommend this combo in 100 watts for metal? Still pondering which ones to put in there to replace the V30s. Still awaiting the CCV-100, but just getting prepared even though I will also have the Cameron 4X12 cab with G12H30s.
